Elective Credit

At the junior high school level our students simply take our course instead of an elective class or during a study hall and do not receive academic credit for their participation in our course. However, at the senior high school level, our students do receive elective credit that counts towards their graduation requirements. Therefore, our high school class requires outside reading, homework, papers, tests, and final exams just like their other classes. SCBEST classes are approved by Oakbrook Preparatory Academy, a local, private, Christian school. They grant the credit for our class and that credit then transfers into the student’s respective high school, just as it would if they went to Oakbrook through 10th grade and then decided to complete their diploma at a public school. For more information about Oakbrook, please visit their website at oakbrookprep.org.
