Philosophy of Education

We believe that Jesus was serious when He instructed His disciples to love God with all their minds. Therefore, our courses are designed to provide a serious learning environment that will challenge the students to ask the tough questions that have always guided the human race, such as: Who am I? Why am I here? Who is God? How should I live? etc. Our teachers strive to lead lives of personal devotion to God that will challenge the students to emulate their example. All of our students are invited into their teacher’s home for a meal at some point during the semester so that they can interact with their teacher in a more personal manner, and the educational process can be allowed to have a holistic impact. Most BEST teachers teach full time and can therefore devote their undivided attention to their students, both in and outside of the classroom.  Our teachers volunteer with such organizations as FCA, Young Life, and The Boys and Girls Club in order to recruit students for our program, and to invest in the school community.
